GO CEDAR VALLEY
Privacy Policy
We use the information you send to respond and help with your business. The public site has no advertising pixels or visitor-analytics scripts. Some information is processed to run and protect the site, and a few preferences stay in your browser. We do not sell personal information collected through this site.
Who this notice covers
Go Cedar Valley is operated by 4THEWEB LLC. Contact Josh Race at josh@gocedarvalley.com or (319) 214-2026. Mailing address: 848 N Rainbow Blvd #2815, Las Vegas, NV 89107, United States.
This notice covers www.gocedarvalley.com and messages sent through its forms. Separately hosted demos, client websites and third-party services may have different features and notices. If a business gives us customer data for paid work, the separate service agreement also governs that work.
Information we receive
- What you send: business name or website, email, optional telephone number, business description, goals, budget, messages and any checkup summary you choose to submit. Giveaway entries also include the round, terms acknowledgement and receipt time. Nominations include the business name and town, an optional public business link, a short reason, and the nominator’s name and email, acknowledgement, round and receipt time. A nomination does not enter the business or authorize publishing the story or names.
- Technical information: our hosting and security providers process information such as IP address, page address, request time, browser/device details, connection information and security signals to deliver the site and prevent abuse. A page address can include a selected topic or campaign tag.
- Business research: when you request a demo or help, we may review the public business website, listings and materials you identify to understand the request.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, medical information or other sensitive records through these forms.
How we use it
We use information to answer inquiries, prepare requested demos or proposals, provide agreed services, administer the giveaway, protect the site and keep necessary business records. Software may help organize correspondence and prepare responses, with Josh responsible for the work. An inquiry, nomination or giveaway entry is not a newsletter subscription or permission for unrelated recurring marketing. You may ask us to stop promotional messages at any time.
The budget checkup calculates results in your browser. Its answers are not submitted just because you use the tool. Choosing to discuss a result can carry a summary to the contact form; it reaches us when you send that form. Copying or downloading a summary keeps a copy under your control.
Providers and sharing
Cloudflare delivers and protects the site; Cloudflare Turnstile checks whether a form interaction appears human. Resend delivers submitted messages, and our Google-hosted mailbox receives correspondence. Authorized business-support tools may help us manage that correspondence. Providers receive the information needed for those functions and may process it in the United States or other places where they operate.
Turnstile processes technical signals even when no visible challenge appears. Read Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. You can also review Resend’s privacy information and Google’s privacy policy.
We do not sell personal information collected through this site or share it for cross-site targeted advertising. We do not give community partners a giveaway entrant list. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect lawful rights or security, or at your direction.
Retention and security
We keep correspondence and related records while needed to answer you, provide services, administer an award, maintain necessary business records or meet legal obligations. Giveaway entry, nomination and selection records are kept for at least one year after the promotion ends; fulfillment and tax records may need longer retention. Provider logs and backups follow their applicable retention settings and policies. Browser storage follows the lifetimes explained in the cookie notice.
We use access controls and encrypted connections for the website and its form service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. When information is no longer needed, we will delete or de-identify it, subject to legal obligations and ordinary backup cycles.
Your choices and privacy requests
Email Josh or use the telephone or mailing address above to ask what information we hold about you, request a copy, ask for a correction or deletion, or ask us to stop promotional contact. You do not need an account. Include enough detail to identify your interaction; do not send a government ID or tax number. We may verify your identity using information already available before disclosing or changing records.
Where Iowa’s Consumer Data Protection Act applies, eligible consumers may request confirmation/access, deletion of personal data they provided, a portable copy where applicable, and an opt-out of sale. That law has business-size and other coverage limits and excludes people acting in a commercial or employment context. We accept privacy questions and requests even when a particular statutory right does not apply.
We will respond without undue delay. For requests governed by Iowa’s Act, the response period is up to 90 days; a necessary extension can add up to 45 days, with notice and a reason within the initial period. If we decline a request, we will explain why. To appeal, reply to Josh and ask for review; for an appeal under the Act, we will respond in writing within 60 days. If denied, you may contact the Iowa Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. We will not penalize you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
We currently do not sell site-collected data or use cross-site targeted advertising, so there is no sale or targeted-advertising activity for a browser opt-out signal to switch off. We do not use a Do Not Track signal to disable necessary site or security functions. If our practices change, we will update this notice and add required controls before introducing the relevant processing.
Children, links and changes
This site is intended for business owners and other adults, not children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; contact us if a child has submitted information so we can address it. Links to other sites, including Google, social platforms and separately hosted demos, lead to services with their own practices.
We will post changes here with an updated effective date and provide additional notice when legally required. The giveaway rules govern the award and add promotion-specific details.
